CHROME BROWSER EXTENSION — DATA COLLECTION AND USAGE

This Privacy Policy also applies to the Group Convert Chrome browser extension ("Extension") available on the Chrome Web Store.

Data Collected by the Extension

The Extension may collect and process the following types of data:

Facebook Group Member Data: When you use the Extension on Facebook group membership request pages, it reads publicly visible member information including names, profile URLs, and answers to group membership questions. This data is processed locally in your browser and, if you choose to export it, is sent to your connected Google Sheets spreadsheet.
Google Account Information: The Extension uses Google OAuth2 to authenticate your identity. It collects your Google account email address and basic profile information (name) solely to verify your subscription and enable Google Sheets integration.
Google Sheets Data: With your explicit authorization, the Extension writes Facebook group member data to a Google Spreadsheet that you specify. The Extension reads and writes to Google Sheets using your authorized Google account credentials.
Extension Settings and Preferences: User-configured settings (such as automation schedules, welcome message templates, and approval intervals) are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage API and are not transmitted to any third party.
Scheduled Alarm Data: The Extension uses Chrome's alarms API to schedule user-enabled automatic Facebook group member approvals and to process queued welcome messages at times you select. This scheduling data is stored locally and cleared when automation is stopped or no queued messages remain.
How We Use This Data

To display and export Facebook group member information at your request
To authenticate your subscription status via your Google account email
To write member data to your designated Google Spreadsheet
To schedule and execute automations (member approvals, welcome messages) that you explicitly enable
Data Sharing

Google: Member data you export is sent to Google's Sheets API on your behalf, under your own Google account. It is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
GroupConvert servers: Your Google account email address is transmitted to GroupConvert's servers solely to verify your active subscription. No Facebook member data is transmitted to GroupConvert's servers.
No other third parties: Facebook member data, your Google Sheets content, and your automation settings are not sold, shared, or disclosed to any other third parties.
Data Storage and Retention

Extension settings and queued data are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data remains on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by removing the Extension.

Host Permissions

The Extension requests access to facebook.com pages to read group membership request data. It requests broad host permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*) to communicate with the GroupConvert subscription verification server and the Google Sheets API. No browsing history or data from non-Facebook pages is collected.

User Control

All data collection and automation features are user-initiated. You can stop all automation and clear all stored data by disabling or uninstalling the Extension at any time.
